Mortgage originations are down 60% over last year and 85% of mortgage applicants that would have been previously approved would not currently qualify within the scope of the new Dodd-Frank Qualified Mortgage.
The new Seller Financing regulations in Dodd Frank and the S.A.F.E. Act has created a massive paradigm shift in the way that private loans are originated, disclosed, and transacted. Now more than ever Realtors, Investors, Sellers, and Buyers need to know the laws and disclosure requirements to protect their assets and licenses.

Mark Stein has been in the industry for 10+ years and is an expert in alternative finance. Mark is a Registered Financial Consultant and Registered Mortgage Advisor which means that along with his experience in Seller Financing, he is well equipped to guide Realtors, Investors, Sellers, and Buyers right through the unique process of Seller Financing.
We have a lot of exciting things to talk about and discuss:
- We will be giving a basic overview of where we think the Real Estate market is heading in a Macro, Micro, and Geographic view. Because notes can be held across the country, we can own this debt by following a few rules for our investment decisions.
- We will be speaking about some note deal profiles and how they can be used to enhance returns in flips, rental purchases, sales, wraps, partials etc.
- We will also talk about the Dodd Frank Act and seller financing compliance issues and their ramifications.
- Time allowing we will also talk about some of the revenue streams that real estate brokers and note investors are missing out on.
This meeting is a workshop setting that is focused on education. We have been working notes since 2008 so we have a lot of hands on experience. We are glad to share that experience with anyone interested in note investing.
